Two Day Death Scene Investigation Training Workshop in Clermont, Florida
Class Dates: 10/19 & 10/20 | 8 AM to 5 PM
Day one will cover Crime Scene Response and the dos and don’ts of conducting a forensic examination of a death scene. All aspects of crime scene processing will be covered. In addition, the student will be given the opportunity to examine and evaluate several diverse death scenes with various modes of death.
Day two digs a little more in depth into what is really happening at a death scene. Examination of a death scene requires a disciplined and systematic approach to record observations made and collection of potential evidence. This must be combined with the analysis of those observations and the ability to recognize pattern
evidence associated with injury/wounds on the body or with other information contained within the scene. At the end of this class the student will understand the difference between penetrating wounds, perforating wounds, lacerations, contusions, petechia, and much more.
